Global Food Security Symposium

Convened annually by the Council’s Global Agricultural Development Initiative, the symposium on global agriculture and food security provides a platform for discussion about the US government and international community’s progress on addressing the problem of food insecurity.

This year's theme is Youth For Growth. By 2050, Africa’s population will double, with 1 billion projected to be under 18 years old, and many others regions are experiencing similar trends. How can we harness the potential of this promising demographic to secure economic growth and stability?
