The sixty-second session of the Commission on the Status of Women will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 12 to 23 March 2018.
Representatives of Member States, UN entities, and ECOSOC-accredited NGOs from all regions of the world are welcome to attend the session.
Priority theme: Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls
Review theme: Participation in and access of women to the media, and information and communications technologies and their impact on and use as an instrument for the advancement and empowerment of women

About: Investing in nutrition lies at the heart of majority of the US Sustainable Development Goals and media technology can help amplify the cause by engaging the chief beneficiaries of good nutrition which are the empowerment of women and girls globally. Therefore in partnership with key organizations, WANDA proposes the following session to raise visibility, share best practice, and gain insight of how multisectorial approaches, including media and community technology, are key in advancing the cause of SDG2: zero hunger and SDG 5: gender equity.
