International Migrants Day

current large movements of people are presenting complex challenges. More people have been forced to flee their homes than at any time since the Second World War due to increased conflict and political instability. Conflict and climate change are inextricably linked to people’s ability to access food and are important factors contributing to the migration challenge.

In order to achieve zero hunger and food security, we must also eliminate the conditions that force people to leave their homes. Resilient livelihoods, safety, and the right agricultural conditions are critical to enabling people to create a secure and safe space to live and access food.

The theme for International Migrants Day 2018 has not yet been released.
