North and South America - Chefs' Manifesto Dialogues in Support of the UN Food Systems Summit

Please note, the 4.00pm - 5.30pm is in Central Daylight Time (US CDT).

This Independent Dialogue - convened by the Chefs’ Manifesto - will explore practical actions for chefs to transform food systems and ensure Good Food for All

Having taken a leading role in narrowing the roadmap of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for chefs, via the Chefs’ Manifesto Thematic Areas Action Plan and the Chefs’ Pledge survey, this dialogue will serve to provide space to discuss practical actions chefs can take to enact positive change for food systems. The aim is that by learning from the data collected from the survey, the dialogue will focus on what information has emerged as global trends amongst chefs, in the form of practical actions.

Food Systems Summit Dialogues use a standardised approach to convening, curating and facilitating structured conversations among groups with different perspectives on how to get their food systems to work for the common good. The heart of the events are facilitated discussions in small groups composed of individuals with diverse backgrounds. Dialogues are hosted in a way that offers a safe space for sharing perspectives openly. For example, the outcomes of discussions are shared in plenary but without attributing statements to a particular person. We therefore encourage you to come with your ideas, experience, enthusiasm, and to make yourself available for the whole duration of the Dialogue. The information gathered will then be fed back into the wider summit engagement process.
